Fayetteville

Till Tuesday i am visiting a friend in Fayetteville. She used to be the vet i worked with in West Point, NY but is now staioned at Fort Bragg. I always love coming back here. Since i have been stationed here the most its almost the closest thing i have to a home, besides Utah of course. I got here last night and today i chilled at her house while she went to do some training that i couldn't go to. It was nice not having anything to do for once. I started reading Brisingr and i love it. OH and i finished Breaking Dawn and LOVED IT, the ending surprised me and i was quite pleased. When she got home we went and took her two mules out for a ride which was super fun. Tomorrow we are going shopping for a freezer and a some pumpkins because monday night we are having a pumpkin carving party with some other vets and friends from her work. So that is exciting. So i am just hangin out worry free. It's nice cause im going to have to pull it together and push hard cause i got some test grades back and they were not the greatest. Well thats all i got now.

weird week

So its been a blah kind of week. I am supposed to have all this extra time on my hands because tuesday 1 lecture and 2 labs were cancelled, and thursday 1 lecture and a lab are cancelled. since monday wednesday friday i only have one class seems like i should have a very boring week....wrong.

My supervisor has been out all week because she threw out her back again so i have been practically been running my department. I am not even supposed to be doing the job i am at now and now i am doing both sides, i better get an amazing raise next semester for all this.

I have been preparing to register for classes for next spring. my last undergrad semester. it kind of makes me sad. So far if im lucky this is my schedule...

So it is pretty sweet looking, hopefully all goes well and i wont have to take another chemistry and i can register for that online class. Its also assuming i can get those credits for NC State online class that i am doing now will transfer over to help me graduate.

I am also going to apply to the graduate program and get a masters in biology. Just in case i do not get into vet school, and i will do it here at Western. Also today i paid and started my application for graduation!

Other than that we have homecoming this weekend which is exciting. Big plans for that and be on the look out for pictures to come.

I am in 3rd book of Breaking Dawn and i am loving it!!!!

I cant think of much else. So i guess i will go read some more before i go to bed.

college is crazy

So i have been one busy person these past couple of weeks. i dont even know where to begin.

Lets start with work cause that is fun and easy. I have recently been promoted to the "Lending" position in Interlibrary loan. Pretty much i get books from our library and send them to other libraries across the nation. I am practically a supervisor but still a student worker. I have my own desk and i can give other student workers work that i need done. It is pretty sweet. Doing about 15 hours a week and i can get away with anything.

Classes....oh classes, quite frankly are kickin my ass. Not that its hard or anything there is just so much information and i am sooo busy that it is hard to find time to study. I am about to throw a shoe at one professor and im falling behind on my online class again. which reminds me i may need to do that today as well as everything else i have planned.

vet school applications are seriously just insane. thats what i have mainly been doing all weekend is putting in information to VMCAS which is a main application that goes out to all the schools i want and then those school have supplemental applications. So i have 4 applications all together because i am applying to NC State University, Viginia Tech and Colorado State. I beggining to not be fond of NC State they want me to take a 2nd general chemistry that i dont have (that was a fun surprise last night) and they also want me to do 6 short essays on the most absurd questions ever. Take for example... How would you explain to a small animal client how a veterinarian can be involved in an industry, such as animal agriculture, which kills millions of animals each year? and one i dont know how to begin... What specific actions will you take to contribute to the class of 2013? So i am not likeing that alll so much. Oh, and did i mention its due by Oct. 2nd. So i am behind on that ..go figure.

Other random things...

Delta Sigma Phi (joes fraternity) is voting on Princess of the Nile tonight and its me and 2 other girls. Its kinda like a sweetheart and i get my picture to go on their big framed composite. Its pretty sweet and i want it more than most. the two other girls dont stand a chance.

I hate my fraternity, i dont have to go to the meetings cause thats when my night class meets (that i really dont have to go to its pretty much just asking the prof questions, hes a cool guy) and im not going to tell them that the class got moved to saturday afternoons either...hahaha I havnt been going to anything else either. I just dont care anymore and its no longer fun. they dont know how to do anything right i swear. they are on the bottom of my list to worry about though.

I am also treasurer for the Pre-Preofessional Health Club. We dont meet that often and just last week we had a speaker from ECU Brody school of medicine come and he was cool. didnt really involve me but it was interesting to hear.

My roomate and joes roomate from last year (another delta sigma phi brother) are dating. Its cute but annoying, lol.

BIG NEWS last monday i finally got my package from mom that had the rest of the twilight collection in it. I have finished New Moon (AMAZING!) and i am in Eclipse right now. I am trying not to read them too much cause this weekend i have had all these applications to do and i have 3 exams next week so i need to focus but at night i will read before i go to bed. Once next week is over though i will probably read the rest.... I. LOVE. THOSE. BOOKS. i seriously cant get enough. i am so excited for the movie, we have already made plans to see the midnight showing. AHHHH i am so excited. I also got the book Brisingr from the eragon series but i wont be able to read that till i am done with twilight so that may be a while but its there sitting on my desk next to the rest of my books.

Joe is doing good. Student teaching in Asheville. He is teaching U.S. History to Juniors. He enjoys it but he is super busy and cant come down most weekends. He will be up next weeknd for 3 days which is super exciting! Joe reminds me alot of Edward from Twilight. and he has promised me that when he is done student teaching in november he will start reading the books and i am sure he will think me and bella are similar. i am pretty stubborn. lol

Not much else is going on. i know what your thinking, if i had anything else going on were would i fit it all? I am sure there are some wee hours of the morning that can be filled.

Well i better start some more on these applications. I am hoping to get them done and sent off monday...which is tomorrow huh? crap. Now i really got to kick it into high gear.

TWILIGHT!!!!!!

Ok so i have to say that only after 9 days of reading Twilight i am OBSESSED!!! I can't stop thinking about it. I am so excited for the movie Nov. 21 and i havn't even read the 3 other books yet. Everyday i must look at something Twilight related. It has taken over my facebook. My flairboard is half Twilight, my bumber stickers are slowly becoming more Twilight, and i have the Twilight fan page and Twilight application. I. LOVE. IT. and i am so in love with Edward. I even told Joe i would leave him for this fictional character. Something about it all just makes me all happy inside. I cant wait to start New moon. If i am like this over one book then 3 more is just going to blow my mind. The quotes are just so amazing. I can read them over and over. oh, also it is my background on my computer. I just had to write this down. I think people are starting to think i am crazy.

First week back

So i had my first week of my SENIOR year this past week. It wasn't too bad. i had 2 classes and 3 labs canceled so that was cool. Next week is going to be rough though cause i think we have all our labs start next week. Which really sucks because i have a lab thursday night but we also have our first football game against Shorter. Whatever kind of name for a school that is. So i hope we can convice him that since this is our only thursday night game if we can not have lab. I will find that out on tuesday. I also started work which was fine and easy as always. yay money!

I LOVE my room in the village. My roomie is awesome, we have already been to a couple parties together. The room setup is sweet. I know you guys want pics and vids but the room isn't quite finished yet. Mandi (roomie) is bringing a futon labor day weekend and we are so excited. So i promise i have not forgotten, we just want it to look great before we take pics so you can get the full enjoyment.

This weekend was awesome, had dinner with joe friday night in waynesville and came back to western to hang with some friends and drink a little. Don't get that look im 21 now and enjoying it very much! And saturday pretty much just hanged out and drank too. lol. No more though til next friday, i worked on homework today so dont think i am a total wastebasket.

Anyways, i wil try to update on a weekley schedule. Hopefully next weekend i will have pics of my amazing house!

countdown to the states

So i only have less than 2 weeks left in Italy. Then i go back to classes, work and mettings. Blah. On wednesday me and dad are going to Modena, Italy on an ITR trip to see the ferrari factory and for some wine tasting. It is going to be fun and i am excited. Then Friday through Monday we are going to Garmish, Germany and hang out there for a couple of days. Then we might head to Slovenia for a day or two then on the 15th i head back to the states. That is going to be a very long day. Other than that we have just been hanging out. I bought the book Twilight, but i am not going to read it til the day i come back to the states. That way i have something to do in my layovers and long plane rides. I will probably be able to finish it that day too. Then i guess i will read the rest of them too. Well thats about all for now.

switzerland and venice

So i had a very busy weekend this past 2 days as you can tell by all my facebook pictures. On Saturday me and my mom took an ITR trip to Lugano, Switzerland. It's about 3 and a half hours away. We went on a lake curise on lugano lake which was very nice and then we got to go around the city of Lugano on our own and go shopping which was fun and got some lunch. Then it started raining so we went for cover and did some window shopping for a bit then when it stopped we took a cable car up a HUGE mountian. It was so beautiful at the top and a little scary, haha. It was alot of fun. 

On sunday after dad got back from a small day at work we decided to take a trip to venice for the afternoon and evening. We were going to take a train thats like 5 min. from our house but the machine to give us tickets was down so we just drove instead.  It seemed like it was going to be a pretty day but soon after walking around the city it started to rain on us so we took cover til it ended. Then it rained again later but this time it started hailing like crazy. good thing we took cover again. We ate just outside of Saint Marks Square. Thats one of my favorite places in Venice.  I have been there 4 times now and i wouldn't mind going back. We watched as these HUGE curise ships went by, it was awesome and i wouldnt mind going on one of those. I finally got me a venetian mask. I like it and im going to get another one to sorta match it. I will probably buy that one from post but i def wanted to get one that was straight from venice. I am in the process of getting some videos on youtube. they are so big i didnt know what else to do with them..lol. I will post a link of them on here so that you guys can see. And of course today is my 21st birthday!!!! it is exciting. not exactly sure what we are going to do today but im excited it is finally here.  I opened the presents joe got me when i got the package which was like a week ago...hehe..he got me a very pretty necklace, a cd, and Lost on DVD season 1 YESS!!! For our one year a couple months ago he got me Greys Anatomy seasons 1 & 3 so now i got all these seasons that i am starting to collect. Those though are my two favorite shows.  

alright, I'm really going to try to make an effort to "blog". its been a while. i used to blog on xanga but that ended up fading away, and I'm a huge facebook junkie, like hardcore.

right now i am chillin in italy with the family. We just had the fourth of july festivities on post which were fun. It's not quite the same as back in the states. We let our "host country" celebrate it for us but seeing last years and this years it is more for them. Most things are in euros, they have italian bands and there are more of them then us. It's our holiday, but whatever.

im in the process of applying to vet school. i really need to work on it. With my senior year coming up quick who knows where i will end up. i want to be close to family but i also want to be close to joe (boyfriend). He means alot to me and distance ruined my last relationship.

well i think i am going to leave pics to facebook. we will see.

So i am still getting the hang of this blogger thing. I had to get one so i could help mom with hers. So we shall see how this goes. More to come later.
